The Estes Park Jazz Festival is directed by Max Wagner, and is free to the public courtesy of the Town of Estes Park and our Sponsors:  Poppy's Pizza & Mama Rose’s, Snowy Peaks Winery, and KUVO Jazz Radio 89.3 FM. Parking is free as well. Estes Park's Jazz Festival is held in conjunction with Art Walk:  a self-guided tour of over 20 galleries, studios, and art exhibits throughout Estes Park.  Maps are available at the Jazz Festival and at any participating gallery. THE 2016 ANNUAL ESTES PARK JAZZ FESTIVAL NOW IN OUR 26th YEAR! The 26th annual Estes Park Jazz Festival will present seven Jazz groups over two days. The festival takes place on Saturday, June 4th, and on Sunday, June 5th, 2016, from Noon to 5pm at Performance Park. Performance Park is located at 417 West Elkhorn Avenue, at the West end of downtown Estes Park, Colorado. The Estes Park Jazz Festival is now in it’s 26th year! We are thankful for the support of Jazz fans, Jazz radio, Jazz writers and for the commitment and enthusiasm of the many gifted Jazz artists who have performed in this festival over the last quarter century; making it such a success. In addition, we are grateful for the support of the Town of Estes Park and our private sponsors: Mama Rose’s & Poppy’s Pizza, KUVO Jazz Radio 89.3FM, and Snowy Peaks Winery. The The Estes Park Jazz Festival is presented free to the public courtesy of the Town of Estes Park and our sponsors. The festival has become one of Colorado’s premier Jazz Festivals, noted for it’s commitment to excellence in Jazz. Presenting the finest of our national and regional Jazz artists, the festival features stellar line-ups of performers, representing the music from it’s New Orleans roots to it’s thriving and diverse present, and venturing into it’s exciting future. Over the last twenty-five years the festival has featured internationally known Jazz stars: Benny Golson, Roberta Gambarini, Jimmy Heath, Donald Harrison, Gary Bartz, The Cookers, Marlena Shaw, Don Braden, Kevin Mahogany, Louis Hayes, Angela Hagenbach, The Brubeck Brothers, Margo Reed, Les McCann, and Houston Person, among others; along with top Colorado area Jazz Artists, many of whom have national reputations, including The Ken Walker Sextet, Queen City Jazz Band, Images, Ellyn Rucker, Air Force Academy Falconaires, Eric Gunnison, Dotsero, Pat Bianchi, Hazel Miller, Nelson Rangell, Hugh Ragin, Laura Newman, The OTone Brass Band, Groove Society, The Heavenly Echoes Gospel Choir, Conjunto Colores, Convergence, and many more as part of this two day celebration of Jazz. The The Estes Park Jazz Festival has become a prime destination for music lovers around the region and across the country; and is one of the highlights of the festival season in Colorado. The Estes Park Jazz Festival is produced by the Special Events Department of the Town of Estes Park and was founded by and is directed by Jazz artist, Max Wagner. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair, and a picnic; or purchase selections from Poppy’s Pizza on site. Wine vendors will also be available on site; no other alcohol is allowed. No dogs are allowed in the listening area. The Festival is presented free to the public courtesy of the Town of Estes Park and our sponsors.
